Videonitch Software Platform wins Caterpillar’s Most Prestigious Innovation Award
NORWOOD, Mass., Sept. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Videonitch’s software solution, Channel 1, received the CSS ACI Innovation award, which honors new solutions that disrupt common practices and create a significant positive impact on Caterpillar customers and their business, especially in growth, sustainability, efficiency, and collaboration. Videonitch, a rapidly growing video learning company, partnered with Caterpillar Inc.’s Global Dealer Learning (GDL) team to expand upon their VN Channel software and develop the video learning platform Channel 1. Channel 1 was not only the Customer Service Support (CSS) Annual Continuous Improvement (ACI) award winner in the Innovation category, but also overall Grand Champion for CSS. The team will advance as a finalist to the 2015 prestigious Chairman’s Innovation Award.
“To make it to this round of completion after competing against many other outstanding projects is an achievement in itself. It is exciting to see the growth Channel 1 has experienced in such a short period of time,” said Mike Miller, Division Leader, Caterpillar Global Dealer Learning team.
Kicking off in Q4 2014, Videonitch branded and developed their VN Channel software, in cooperation with GDL to launch Channel 1 shortly after in January of 2015. Channel 1 is a secure, collaborative, video based solution to meet Caterpillar’s dealer and customers needs for faster, mobile training from anywhere in the world, at any time. With over 47,000 views to date and more than 200 videos posted, Channel 1 content is growing rapidly and has proven to be a powerful tool for sharing training information to Caterpillar’s external customers, dealers and supplier networks, as well as customer-facing Caterpillar employees.
“We are honored to continue to be part of this exciting initiative with Caterpillar. Our technology behind Channel 1 establishes Videonitch as an innovative force in the industry and supports Caterpillar’s vision of the future and strategic goals of being a global leader and delivering superior results,” said Steve Goodwin, CEO, Videonitch.
